Fall Rec 2011 Information

PYSA Fall Soccer Parents, Players and Coaches

The time has arrived for fall soccer games to begin!

Due to a large number of late registrations, formation of teams and completion of the field layout and game schedule was delayed.  We appreciate all your support.  Next year we will put a lot of effort into getting the word out about registration and ask parents to watch for registration in the spring and early summer.   This will allow our volunteers to provide a smooth start to the season.

Following are additional documents that can be of assistance to you:

The following are simple instructions for the fall 2011 PYSA Soccer Season, and in particular for this Sunday September 11:

Coaches

  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled game time (1:00pm, 2:00pm or 3:30pm) at Kerr Dam Fields this Sunday September 11.
  • Team colored shirts can be obtained near the concession stand for your team. Extras may be provided if available.
  • Please immediately proceed to your field location per the game schedule and field layout map and await your players.
  • Please have your players put on their team shirts, warm up, and be ready to play at the start time established.
  • Game durations and rules are located in the attached document.
  • Parents are to be on one side of the field and coaches/players on the opposite side please.
  • Referees will arrive to the field shortly before game time. We are trying to get a single referee for all games, but if a referee is not available for some reason, please have each coach or team representative referee half the game, and begin the game at the scheduled start time.
  • No coaching by referees during the game shall be permitted. Just let them play and have fun!
  • Be kind and respectful to the players, the parents, the other team, and especially the volunteer referees and PYSA volunteers.

 

Parents and Players

  • Please arrive at Kerr Dam Fields at least 15 minutes (or as directed by your coach) prior to your scheduled game time of either 1:00pm, 2:00pm or 3:30pm.
  • Please immediately proceed to your field location per the game schedule and field layout map and await your coach if he has not arrived. The game schedules and field map will also be posted at the concession stand each week for your convenience.
  • Coaches will hand out the colored team shirts this Sunday prior to game time at the assigned field.
  • Players should put on their team shirts, warm up, and be ready to play at the start time established.
  • Parents are to be on one side of the field and coaches/players on the opposite side please.
  • Players must wear shin guards under their socks, or they cannot play. Soccer cleats are recommended.
  • Bring plenty of water.
  • Be kind and respectful to the coaches, the players, the parents, the other team, and especially the volunteer referees and PYSA volunteers.
  • Most importantly, have a good time!

The attached information will also be posted on the west side of the concession stand, and PYSA volunteers will be located near the concession stand to answer any questions. Food will be available in the concession stand, and shin guards and cleats will be available at the concession stand for purchase if needed.
